I guide hikes in the Hudson Valley for people who want to move with purpose and spend a few hours fully present in the natural world.

I grew up hiking these mountains with my family. My career as a trumpet player necessitated a NYC home base. I quickly learned I needed to return to the Hudson Valley whenever possible to reset and breathe. A rigorous touring schedule took me across the country — through the Pacific Northwest, the Rockies, the red rock landscapes of the Southwest, etc.— and each place only deepened my respect for the mountains I call home. They are just as formidable and majestic, offering challenge, beauty, and quiet in equal measure.

Now based in Kingston, NY, I lead guided hikes in the Catskills, Minnewaska State Park, and the Hudson Highlands. Hikes range from fitness-focused outings to slower, exploratory walks, always thoughtfully paced and shaped around the group.

Along the way, I share local knowledge, trail insight, and practical tips, help capture summit photos, and make sure everyone feels supported. Snacks are included, with optional transportation from Kingston or nearby lodging.

This isn’t about conquering a trail. It’s about rhythm, attention, and leaving the mountains feeling steadier than when you arrived

Not just a hike - a reset.
